Bucher experienced a decline in sales in 2016

The Bucher Industrial corps and the market crisis saw the order book in 2016 by the Zurich manufacturer of machinery and special vehicles affected by agricultural vehicles

Emhart Cam Bucher, decreased by 351 million francs 12,2% for the segment that produces machines for glass packaging production. New orders increased by 3% to 371 million. Finally, we saw fruit juice and wine, special Bucher-producing unit presses, to jump orders by 28.4 million francs, 21.4%, while sales rose by 263 million to 2.4%.

Bottom margins

In terms of profitability, Bucher expects a much smaller profit in 2015 as the outcome of the operation should also be a significant retreat. Detailed annual results will be published on March 7.

The economic uncertainty will continue in 2017, says Bucher Industries. Group management expects lower prices due to weak demand for agricultural products and machinery of this business segment.

Measures to increase the profitability of the measures implemented in 2016 foresees an increase in operating revenues throughout the year. Demand for municipal vehicles should remain stable. The group expects a slight increase in sales and profit margin of the advanced operation.
